Childhood seizure disorder
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 17:34Topic: Living With Epilepsy - Youth
Hi-My son was diagnosed after having a grand mal seizure in Jan 05. His teachers at school have been saying that he seems "checked out" at times and he seems to be falling behind. He is a very bright child but maybe he is having petit mal seizures in school. We aren't seeing anything suspicious at home. He has been on Keppra since he was diagnosed. Any thoughts? Also, any thoughts on using biofeedback to control seizures?

Many people can have seizures that are not noticeable. Like I babysat for a child that had seizures. She was doing the eye twitching back in forth. SO I tested her by moving around the room. She would be still looking in that area where I was origially was standing. Then I knew she was having seizures. I have done Neurofeedback. It was really helpful. I am going back in the near future. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
