Can it be Epilepsy?

Sat, 12/17/2016 - 07:49
Hello! I am new to this website and I came here with hopes of finding some answers. I'm not sure about what I'm having are seizures or syncope. I first had it at 2 y/o I am 22 now and had 9 of these. When I was a child I passed out about 4 times with years of gaps after hitting my knee or elbow hard. I passed out in toilet after periods cramp. One thing that is common in these is loss of urine and stool. 2 weeks ago I woke up at night due stomach cramp. I went to the toilet as I sat on the seat I felt like my whole body is shutting down. I woke up few minutes later on the toilet floor with 2 chipped teeth. There were really tiny bits of my teeth in my mouth. My GP says that I had a seizure. He gave me EEG which came out normal. Is it possible that I may have epilepsy?

So I went to a neurologist.

So I went to a neurologist. Acc to him what I had weren't epileptic seizures because they don't happen after years of gaps and don't last for 2 minutes. He said that epileptic seizures are frequent (I think he was referring to grand mal) and last longer than few minutes. I told him about my deja vus and he told me that could be your sixth sense. I even told him about my headaches and nausea that happen every now and them. He was sure that this isn't epilepsy and what I had was syncope. So when I asked him why do I lost my bladder control every time? He was like it happens with syncope. I even asked him about my memory issues and he said memory has nothing to do with epilepsy.  He gave me these expensive table tilt and holter test. Now I will have another appointment with one more neurologist.
