20+ FS in 7months & possible afebrile partial seizure

My 19mo had had over 20 FS in 7months all complex all either focal long or recurring. She just had an MRI yesterday and I'm waiting to hear the results.. Why would they do MRI if FS are not suppose to be harmful? She has had 8 within 4hrs and the first week of April she had a 50min FS that started as focal and progressed to generalized all have been between a rectal temp of 99.6-101.7.... ( the dr thinks she also had an afebrile partial seizure two weeks ago) ..When should I hear about MRI results? Why do MRI? Why is she having so many!!! She will see a pedi neuro in May I'm just so exhausted and just wish I could have answers now...
