Yeah, it's sad to see some peoples reactions. When I've had to tell others about my E and they react funny, my kids look at them as if to say "what's wrong with you buddy!". They have been well trained in what to do if someone were to have a seizure. I also have had to sit down and explain to people/friends/relatives what to do if someone has a seiz. I think the topper for me. Was about 20 years ago, I told someone about my E and they started talking really slowly to me. Like I was dumb and couldn't understand what they were saying. :)lol I call it "being uneducated". It's so sad, but true. People are well educated when it comes to diabetes, aids, depression, etc. Yet, when it comes to E,....well you know what I mean. Good luck with you! Keri

Its best not to let anyone know you have epilepsy. If you can hide it,do. Anything someone knows aboput you can and will be used against you. People are sometimes nice, but usually they are not and when it comes to something they are not familer with and do not understand you can count on negativity. Its not your job to educate the world about epilepsy. People will think you are crazy for passing out a paper about epilepsy. Its your job to get through life the best you can with this. That means suffering in silence.
