When will I feel normal again?

Wed, 09/21/2016 - 10:50
I had my second seizure about a month and a half ago. My doctors don't know what caused it because I don't have epilepsy and my CAT scan and MRI were normal. Since my seizure I have felt strange. I feel like I am not myself mentally. I sort of feel like I'm out of my body and cant tap in back to my old self. I feel like my memories are just in a cloud and when I look in the mirror I don't recognize myself. My vision is funky too, its not like its blurry but it seems slow kind of. Since I feel this feel this way, I have become very anxious and depressed. How long will I feel strange for? It's been over a month and I'm getting scared that I will never feel normal again.

I had my second seizure about

I had my second seizure about a month and a half ago<<<<all it takes to diagnose epilepsy is two seizures. So technically you do have epilepsy. My doctors don't know what caused it because I don't have epilepsy and my CAT scan and MRI were normal.<<<< What kind of doctors?? Your PCP or a neurologist??? Do CAT scans or the MRI show the electrical output coming from the brain? Or do they show the brain as it is and looks like?  Kind of like a scan can show the heart. But the EKG shows the activity the doctors need to show a heart attack or A-fib. The EEGis the test showing the electrical activity the brain has.. What causes a seizure is an electrical impulse hitting wrong in the brain. Which causes a chain reaction. Just so you'll know it there are many people that the cause has not been found. Oh and there is a photosensitive seizure in epilepsyUnless your doctor was a neurologiost in epilepsy then they don't know what is needed for medications or diagnosis. A neurologist treats everything steming from the central nervous system. Be it epilepsy or parkinson's or ADHD. There are many more ailments coming from the brain. So if it was your regular doctor then have him refer you to a neurologist that specializes in epilepsy.I hope this helpsJoe
