When using BOTH Trileptal and Topamax?
Fri, 01/09/2015 - 23:48I consumed 600 miligram trilaptal within a day one in the morning and one in the night, so the doctor recommended an additional 50 miligram of topamax (both morning and night along with trilaptal).
This is now almost a week, but I feel like I'm having a side effect, if I'm correct. Is anyone feeling the same as I am, or is there any recommendation that you would like to give me?
I really feel tired, and I can't really concentrate. For example, when I took an exam, I felt like I wasn't able to do well like I was able to, and I just went out of the exam room. I will, of course, talk to the doctor, but I would like your advise, since doctors simply lengthen medications, when things don't work out as planned.

It tales time for for your body to get used to the medications and the levels to build up in your body. Your seizures medications are not like asperin. There is no one sixe fits all medications. I would say give it time . If you are still having this problem in a couple of weeks then call your doctor and discuss this issue with him. your dosages may need further adjustments.
