what is a tonic clonic seizure?

hi my name is jennifer and my doctor has told me i have generalized seizures and i was wondering what happens when you have a tonic clonic seizure cause i have been getting these pins and needles in my toes and these strange feelings like someones pulling on my toes then all of a sudden it feels like my toes are moving up and down but only their not moving at all. i have never had these type of seizures before i have always had absence and never knew what was happening now the seizures are starting to scare me... please tell me what you experience when you go through a tonic clonic seizure and also does it affect your blood pressure cause i now have low blood pressure. jennifer
