Was this a simple partial seizure?
Sun, 06/24/2007 - 18:19I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1999, after having 2 grand mal seizures in one day. Put on medicine, and then 2 years later I tried going off, again having 2 grand mal seizures in one day. Back on medicine. Fast forward to 2007, seizure free since 2001. My last EEG came back normal. So in April I tried going off my meds again. Doing fine until yesterday...I was talking with my son, and this strange feeling came over me, and my tongue started tingling, and I started to feel like I was going to check out. So I sat down, closed my eyes, and tried to relax. I also felt like I was going to throw up for a few minutes afterwards. I have had these on occasion in the past, usually in the middle of the night. Are these simple partial seizures? I'm going to be making a call to my neurologist in the morning. Probably say I have to go back on meds. Thanks for anyone giving advice!
