want to know more about EEG results

Thu, 07/26/2007 - 20:42
I'm going in for my third EEG. Does anyone want to share what their EEG showed when it came back abnormal? Is it only considered abnormal when these spikes and waves happen when there is something being done to trigger it like the flashing lights or deep breathing or if these things happen during the entire test. I've heard about slow waves and high spikes but that's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

It is considered abnormal if the spikes and waves that are off happen at any time doesn't matter what instigates it or if nothing instigates it.
