Walk for Epilepsy (In the closest?)

Sun, 04/17/2016 - 12:26
I hope that many of you had the opportunity to do the Walk for Epilepsy. One thing I really wished I could have done yesterday was meet more adults who have epilepsy. I was really happy to see the Athletes vs Epilepsy people get up just to see some other adults with epilepsy. Aside from the other board members who identified themselves as people with epilepsy, I had trouble finding more adults with epilepsy. I get it that many of us don't want to identify ourselves as people with epilepsy. My wife found it really disturbing to see so many people with epilepsy who had much more visible symptoms. Until I had a couple of seizures at work I was afraid to tell anyone. But was there anyone there who was 30-60 years old at that rally? I really wish I could have met someone from the Washington DC area just to meet up for a drink. Are there any 'support groups' in the Northern Virginia area?
