Vivid Dreams

Sun, 10/01/2006 - 19:51
Greetings all. Does anyone have this problem. I often have dreams that are so vivid and remain on my mind so strong that I often cannot tell the differnce between dream and reality. For example, I have dreamed where I have attended a meeting and resolved something in this dream and when I am awake and days later I have a belief that the issue is resolved and anyone asking me I reply yes it is done. When actually it hasn't been! It is very annoying. Regards. Geoff (Australia)

Yes Geoff, You are not alone in fact I know for a fact that many of us dream the same way. when I was on various other meds I had really bad seizure dreams, but now that I am seizure free for the time being my dreams are just as vivid but with a more positive content. Although in the last week or so I have dreaming very strangely with a very heavy religious theme, which with me normally means bad things on the horizon and suddenly on Thursday I get bad news all day, not involving myself personally but people that I'm close to. I lived a large part of my life where the boundary between reality and the dreamworld overlapped constantly sometimes in both a good and bad way.

Used to be I rarely remembered my dreams, latley however they have become more vivid. whether that is from whatever is causing the seizures or the meds I'm taking I don't know as of yet.

Geoff, I started taking Lamictal in July. It gave me very vivid dreams for a couple months. They seem to have stopped for the most part. I have been on Tegretol for many years. I also had some really vivid dreams after I took some Melatonin (a suppliment). Matthew
