Update

Hi everybody :-) I don't remember the last time I've been on this site. I've been busy with work mostly, but last week or was that a week ago..can't remember. Yeah, my memory problems are real problems for me. Drives me nuts. But, anyway, I was havine one heck of an emotional high. Words, I must say, can be lethal depending on who's mouth its coming from and how it is "said". I was on the treadmill trying to let off my steam. I hear that being a seizure patient and "emotions" pretty much goes hand in hand along with memory problems. As for work.....it's my only salvation from keeping from thinking any negative thoughts at all. I'm very much surprised that I haven't had a seizure yet when I was on my emotional high considering that emotions is one of my triggers. That's all I wanted to say. Hope everyone is ok.

Good afternoon to you. I too have serious memory and emotional problems. I just went to my neuro yesterday. I was telling her about the bad memory and attention problems I am having at work. Its really becoming a problem. She told me not to be too hard on myself, that memory and emotional problems just go along with E. I understand that, but it does not make my ability to do my job any easier. I will keep you in my thoughts because I know how you feel. You have a friend here if you need to talk. ((HUGS))

Thank you seizuregirl for dropping by and giving up an update. It's always nice to hear how folks are doing. You heard right for sure, and for me you summed up pretty well how it goes living with what epilepsy brings. One that at times it helps to be reminded of, and needs updating about. Experience tells me that when memory issues going hand in hand with the effect of words and AED's combine, it's the start of problems. Interacting with others can really become a big issue through it. One there is no pill in the world for when that happens. Sure, we might not be able to fix it, what we can do is hope others realize we know life is busy, is precious, and talking does help. Something you realized when you took time out of your busy working life to update us, for which I thank you. Hang in there, stay positive and upbeat-that helps also. Cat. Hi Wendy and Cat :-) I've been pretty busy at work and one of my students in my afternoon class helps me without him even knowing it can make my day. He's a cute kid and makes me laugh which in turn is pretty good anecdote for me. Laughter is always the best medicine isn't it when you're under pressure with work or upset with whatever or whoever crosses your path for some reason or other? I tell you sometimes I'm just frustrated with things that comes my way or friends who have hurt me without their knowledge. Tomorrow is another day and I'm hoping that it will be even better than today :-) Seizuregirl "Life is what you make of it"
