Is this a a type of seizure?

Mon, 05/28/2007 - 14:03
Anyone have this? I usually get this at night, when falling asleep or walk up with it/from it. Everything seems to speed up around me, even my heart beat (although it actually doesn't) and you feel like you're falling down away from everything. There's a huge amount of pressure that seems to rise above you. You feel like everything is moving too fast, and you can't breathe and feel like you're sinking deeper and deeper. You don't loose consciousness though, and although your body seems to generally numb - there's no specific numbness, as in a partial seizure. I had surgery to remove a tumor from my temporal lobe two weeks ago, am on 1,000 Keppra twice daily. I've had partial seizures before, auras and grand mal seizures. Just curious if this is also a type. Thank you for any info!

alexis and anniemae, These sound like Autonomic Seizures , a form of Simple Seizures. I haven't experienced a form of simple seizures yet that I would consider simple, so don't let the term throw you. Take care! -Spiz
