Brain Surgery and medication :)

Consider the fact that each

Consider the fact that each persons seizures are different. Each persons medications are also different dosages and the ammount are different. The ammount of medication I have always taken is the MAX ammount. Where as another person may need just the minimum. As the person before me posted surgery it has helped many people. But there are many people with epilepsy who can not benefit because their seizures come from more then 1 lobe in their brain. Medications work as well as any other thing that can calm the central nervious system. Treatment for epilepsy is different with each person. So there is no one size fits all solution to treatment.I have had epilepsy for 50+ years. I have had years without seizures. The seizures I have now are nothing like those I had when I was a teen. I haven't had a convulsive seizure since 1971. Medications today do work and they are being created to stop the seizures from starting. The older medications calmed down the central nervious system so much that the person takin them could go to sleep easily.  All a seizure is is an electrical impulse going off in the brain. Many things can cause an electrical impulse to go off wrong. Scared brain tissue.A part of the brain that grew wrong. and many others. Can they all be treated the same way?? Are all broken bones broken th same way?  Treatment has several diferent things in it because each person thinks and does things differently.
