Traveling far away

I want to go on a romantic get away with my boyfriend in the fall, but I'm finding it difficult to know if there are any restaurants that I can eat at. What do you guys do when you travel?

I don't limit what I eat because of epilepsy. I limit it to keep my weight at a good number, but that's a different story! I do limit my drinking mostly to just wine, which I don't have any problem with. I'm finding that the higher dose of Keppra I'm on, the more mixed drinks bother me, so I've been trying to avoid cocktails when I go out. Why are you worried about what you can or can't eat? Do you find that a particular food is a trigger for you? From what little I've read, the ketogenic diet is mostly for children, and doesn't have as much, if any, effect on adults... Deb

i was told to completely stay away from msg, caffeine, alchohol, chocolate and some other stuff. msg seems to be in everything and it's hidden well. i'm just confused on what to do at this point.

I can understand the alchohol but I've never heard that about caffeine and chocolate. I drink Coke and Coffee like it's water and I can't link it back to my seizures. I drank it before I started having seizures, so maybe I'm just used to it even with the seizures.
