Tolerable Calcium

Sat, 08/19/2006 - 13:29
Our adult (mother of 3) daughter had been siezure free for several years. She has cronic low calcium for which she is on a pretty hefty daily supplement. Yesterday she had a major siezure, and we learned, in the aftermath, that she had taken herself off her calcium because it has always been difficult for her to live with, making her nauseous. When she is released from hospital tomorrow or Monday, she will have had her calcium levels stabilized. However, she will still need to maintain that level. Our question is, what do you suggest as palitable long term sources, or dietary supplements, for large quantities of daily calcium intake? Is there, for instance, a pleasant tasting chewable, non-chalky (therefore not Tums or its clones) product. Are we crying for the moon? Please contact via email through the personal contact utility. Thank you.

I take the Viactive chews too. Each chew has 200mg of calcium which is 20% daily value with a 2000 calorie diet. Supplementing more intake of calcium through foods can always be added to the amount of calcium she gets too. And I agree...they are yummy! -Spiz
