Tired & Wired

Wed, 04/11/2007 - 12:51
Does anyone ever feel like they could lie down and sleep for a million years and feel wired at the same time? Sometimes I just want to sleep forever, but I feel so wired that I just lie there and freak because I can't close my eyes and sleep. I take Trileptal and take it faithfully. It's recently been increased, but the same ol' stuff sneaks up on me...transposing numbers, losing words, the noxious smells, I'm there but not there even though I know I have to be there (where ever I might happen to be)...you know, that unreal reality...and the sheer exhaustion (which doesn't help my concentration). I feel like I'm living a fake life sometimes. And, there are things I just can't express because there are no words to explain it...and if there were, someone would cart me away to the funny farm! Anyhow, does anyone else have the tired/wired thing going on? Thanks and many blessings to all!!! "I just want to live happily ever after every now and then." - Jimmy Buffett

So sorry you're going

So sorry you're going through this. I am going through this with Topamax now. I am also on Trileptal, but didn't seem to have this problem with that one. (I guess meds affect people in different ways.) I was on Keppra at one time and did have that problem at one dose, but it went away at a higher dose. I'm hoping it's the same with the Topamax because I will be happy if/when it's gone!
