What do you think scares people the most when it comes to epilepsy? Is it not knowing what to do? Or the stigma attached to it?

Well everyone is going to react different when it comes to this answer. For we all have been in different situations. But I believe it is the "not knowing when a seizure is going to occur." And then we deal with the stigma part. What if I am near a boss, a teacher, or just plain people. We just dont want to have it in front of people for the embarrassment of the situation. I would say it the acutal sez that really scares people. Also as lisa stated it's the embarrassement part of it and facing the people after the sez. I have had people stay away from me cause they thought they could " catch" it from me........m

Yeah i just had to know what people thought. But having one in front of people is just embarrassing as you said. I've had 4 separate occasions where I've gone into a full blown T/C and I was so embarassed. I couldn't go back to the store where I had one for about 6 months. I had one in front of my friends and before I did all they asked me is if the strobe lights would bother me. Love 'em all the same though.
