Temporal Lobe Epilepsy?

Mon, 11/16/2015 - 20:41

New to the site, and if there are similar discussions on the subject please send me that way.

I have been dealing with mood disturbances since late adolescence/teenage years, been on and off medication for it since mid-20's, and am currently on 50 mg of Lamictal and 50 of Zoloft. I have also been dealing with moderate-to-severe migraines my entire life but the only medication I've ever consistently been on for those is Excedrin.

Recently, a psychiatrist pondered if perhaps some of the depersonalization and time-displacement I've been experiencing for the better part of a year, besides being rooted in depression, might not have a shade of epilepsy to them. I am having an EEG done in the next few weeks and know that for a fact I have a benign cyst in my brain.

Does anyone have any input, thoughts, or personal insight they'd be willing to share on the subject?
