SUMMER IS HERE !!!!

Tue, 05/30/2006 - 15:34
Well summer is here, and that means, amusement parks, sun, and heat. I say these 3 things because they are all of which could be triggers for a siezure. I myself don't really go to amusement parks because of the fact that there aren't many rides that I can handle with my Epilepsy. I can NOT do rides that spin in circles, and can't do rides things that take a whole lot of concentration. The sun is to bright sometimes for me to enjoy myself without worrying about an episode hitting me. Don't get me wrong, I love going to amusement parks, roller coasters WERE my favorite rides, until my epilepsy started to really kick in. If only we as Epileptics could have our own special amusement park, imagine the fun we could all have. I would love to get some response to this letter. Let me know what YOU think about the issues in my letter, and about the wish of having a special amusement park just for Epileptics, and people who take siezures. God Bless. Be Safe Everyone. HUGS.......Sue Anne Taylor I'm attaching a photo of my momther and myslef.......look at the left side of my face, that is Belle's Palsy, a result of a siezure I had back in 2002.

I know what you mean when it comes to rides. It is so normal for us not to be able to go on rides. Our bodies becomes unbalanced and having epilepsy causes us to get dizzy. That would be a great idea, to have a ride just for people who have epilepsy. I think Epcot Center(in florida) is very good with rides. I can go on all of them. They are just smooth rides to see things. Sort of like rides for older people. Thats the rides we have to ride. :) Take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
