Storms and new symptoms -floating/tilt house -anyone?

Wed, 04/27/2016 - 13:28
The day before yesterday, I fell asleep in my chair in the evening and was startled awake by my dog barking. I had a jolt/surge like feeling in my head and shortly after, started to develop a left sided headache. I went to bed and awoke the next morning with just a minor ache, which seemed to dissipate quickly. On my drive to work, I started to get this bizarre sensation, as if I were floating, in my head. This sensation lasted about 6 hours. During the day, I experienced about 5 or 6 dizzy spells. Some so severe, that I nearly fell down when walking, because it felt as if the floor shifted, like a tilt house, or leaning floor. These spells would only last a few seconds and then pass. I did have moments of aphasia (speech/word finding difficulty), but nothing like what occurs with my complex partial seizures. I visited the nurse at work, she checked my blood pressure and all was normal. A massive storm system rolled in shortly after the floating/dizzy spells stopped. I developed a dull ache in my head and have been ok since. I am not sure what occurred. I have a call in to my doctor, but have not heard back yet. I stayed home from work today, because worse storms are expected today, and I didn't know for sure if that was what triggered whatever was going on with my head or if it was a precursor to something more severe. Was this an aura? Was this a simple partial seizure? Is it a latent side effect of my AED? Has anyone out there experienced this and could help me potentially label it?
