Sorry he is having seizures

Sorry he is having seizures. You do need to relax and he does to since stress is one of the triggers for seizures with some people. Medications for seizures are not like aspirin where one size fits all. It takes about 3-6 weeks to get the therapeutic levels set in his body. If the seizures haven't reduced in number or haven't stopped the dosage will be increased or decreased. As you saw an increase too high can cause an increase in seizures. The saying is too much medication can be just as bad as too little. If you are stress he can know it without you saying anything. The body feels it. I know when people around me are stress because they saw me in a seizure or they are worried about me having another seizure. I have told them not to worry and that I will be fine. If I have a seizure I have a seizure. In other words take things as they come and do things just as you had done before the seizures started. It isn't easy and it did take me some time but as time went on I learned how to deal with epilepsy and seizures. I have put my mother thru welllllllll all kinds of things since I started having seizures when I was about 12-13. She learned that I would take them as they came and go about my business without any problems. So learn that seizures can be controlled and it does take time. He is no different today then he was a year ago. The only difference is he may have a seizure now and then. Which could stop if he gets the right medications set at the right therapeutic level. He will need to watch things now and then and find out what some of his triggers are which helpYou are on the right site to learn about epilepsy and seizures. Thankyou for your kind response this is all so new and out the blue...my husband is actually coping well as like he says he has no recollection of them as they are in his sleep it's more me that's not coping very well but I'm hoping it's just because it's still fresh and I've never experienced anybody having a seizure before...His last seizure before this one was quite mild and I was really calm and just waited for him to come round did him a cup of tea and off we went back to sleep lol..but I think because this one was so much worse and he stopped breathing and turned blue and all the side of his face dropped I then thought he was having a stroke...its just really scared me at how dangerous they are...its never slept a wink last night I just watched him the whole time making sure he was ok and I know this can't go on im just really struggling with it all...thankyou for replying to me I'm going to look through the site and just try and learn as I go along xxx
