sleep depravation or epelepsy?

Thu, 10/04/2007 - 21:59
One of my EEG's had slowing but the neuro stated he thought it may have been from the sleep depravation and not the slow waves associated with epilepsy. Although he almost sounded like he didn't know what he was talking about. Has anyone had this happen before and can't doctors tell the difference between the two. This doctor said I may have just been extra sleepy. Huh?

I'm sorry the EEG did not give you the answers you wanted. As I am the professional you saw did not either. Lack of sleep can cause a whole heap of issues. Ask any parent... I've had my share of nights interrupted and not felt so good the next day. EEG's can also cause a whole heap of issues depending on who is looking at the results. I know from my own experience professionals are human, and do not always have the right answer. Sounds as if possibly you need to pay a visit to somebody else. Good luck if you do. Hang in there. Stay positive and upbeat. It helps. Cat. "Many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1
