Self Driving Cars for Epileptics

Thu, 03/17/2016 - 19:28
I am posting this because those of us living with seizures need self-driving cars. I am not sure of whom or any organization that is involved with the car manufacture companies concerning research & development. I heard that you will still need a license to be able to operate a self-driving car. Does anyone have information or know an organization I can get involved with? Thank you! Life without driving is miserable, it is very, very limiting. To do the simplest tasks one needs a driver. I use Uber, cabs and hire a teenage boy to get places. It's way too expensive. Does anyone have information or know an organization I can get involved with? Thank you! My diagnosis, complex partial seizures of the temporal lobe caused by poly-microgyria.

My daughter is also epileptic

My daughter is also epileptic and I would love to be part of this petition group.  We should talk to Tesla motors as they already have the self driving system and would require only to detect the driver is experiencing a seizure to activate the system.

I have them

I am totally on board with self-driving car.. it would be a game changer for me as well.. and I agree life without driving is miserable. Right now, I use ride-on or the metro to get places.  And your correct about Uber it is very costly. If I had a self-driving car for college in Leesburg,Florida that would be awesome. Yes count me in.
