Self Driving Cars for Epileptics

I am posting this because those of us living with seizures need self-driving cars. I am not sure of whom or any organization that is involved with the car manufacture companies concerning research & development. I heard that you will still need a license to be able to operate a self-driving car. Does anyone have information or know an organization I can get involved with? Thank you! Life without driving is miserable, it is very, very limiting. To do the simplest tasks one needs a driver. I use Uber, cabs and hire a teenage boy to get places. It's way too expensive.
