Seizures and Roller Coasters

Wed, 04/29/2015 - 23:07

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Cedar Point soon. He's bragging that he is going to take me on the roller coasters. Well, he knows about my Epilepsy. First off, I am terrified of roller coasters. The height and the velocity scares the mess out of me. Not to mention, I might have a seizure because of it. That's even worse. Does anyone know whether or not fast moving vehicles induces seizures? I am very conscious and always on my feet and thinking about how participating in these activities might have an effect on my health, you know? Any advice would really help. Thanks in advance.

I see you have several answers to your post .each persons is different from the next.I was the one with epilepsy and I went to Disneyland about 3-4 times a year. Hey when you get to go free it doesn't hurt and all I needed to do was get 3 new starts. If I got 5 I could take a friend with me. Rango and I had a blast . After moving to Dallas I went to 6Flasg and rode theirs. I had no problems with their roller coasters.

Roller Coasters do not induce

Roller Coasters do not induce seizures. I would say go for it if you did not have your previous seizure for a considerable amount of time. Avoid going into places where there is intense flash photography.
