If you can manipulate the system, I think you can. I am under some " disability" programs.  CA Department of Rehabilitation I ride the towns disability bus I am a member of the my schools disability program(and get academic accommodations for no reason)

And I believe Mereloaded is right. If i didn't have a seizure in the lunch room filled with coworkers and the doctors of a major dependent of second largest insurance company in the country,  i don't believe i would have gotten approved.  There was another was reason i was quickly off short term and approved for long term too (made fun of by my supervisor that brought my seizures back more frequently).  I truly believed i was coming back to work after this short term disability was done.  It didn't click my mind the psychological testing they had me doing, Wada testing or other stuff they requested was for me getting approved for SSDI.  It sometimes takes over a minimum of 3 years of more to get approved for SSDI or SSI.  I was approved in less than a couple of months and told to get my stuff, my job was over.
