Seeking African-Americans with epilepsy or seizure disorder to participate in a research study

This study is being conducted by Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. Volunteers are needed to participate in Project UPLIFT, an 8-session group telephone program. The program consists of 8 weekly one-hour group phone calls. Who are we looking for? · Those who identify as Black or African-American · Individuals who are 18 years of age or older · People who have been diagnosed with epilepsy/seizure disorder by a healthcare provider at least 3 months ago What do we ask of you? · Join a 28 to 30 week program where you will: o Participate in eight (8) weekly group telephone sessions that last for an hour each (once a week for a total of eight weeks) o Receive weekly or monthly check-in calls o Participate in 4 survey sessions over the phone If you choose to participate, you will be compensated for your time.
