Does anyone know of any common places to eat that are MSG free? Or safe for epileptics to eat?

Well, Lisa gave your a pretty comprehensive list of things I myself didn't know, and I am pretty careful with what I eat due to my allergic reaction to MSG! As to restaurants, as I don't know where you are, it's kind of hard to say. I would suggest the phone book. Arm yourself with a copy of Lisa's list (thanks Lisa!) and call a restaurant you are interested in eating at, and ask them the questions I suggested before. If they are hesitant or do the uh, thing, I personally wouldn't trust whatever they say and move on to the next restaurant of interest. It's really a trial & error thing, and as it triggers sz's in you, just be really careful. You will find somewhere it is safe to eat out, it just may take some time. Most fast food places are pretty much going to have it in their food, it has been my experience. Again, good luck, at least now you have Lisa's list, which quite honestly makes me want to eat only what I have cooked myself!! Kathy
