Rubbing Feet Together

Wed, 01/03/2007 - 21:58
Ever since my seizures have become seemingly under control with the switch from Keppra to Zonegran, I have a new and mysterious habit that I can't seem to stop. I do not twitch at night before I go to sleep anymore, but now I am rubbing my feet together over and over until they are almost raw and I don't realize I am doing it until I feel the pain. I tried socks and I must rub so hard that I rub them off in my sleep. Kinda like grinding teeth only its my feet. Anybody else experience this?

I have no idea about what you could try? maybe you could put on a lightweight pair of lace up boots? you probably won't be able to rub those off. I havent experienced this but I'm sure there is somone out here who has.

"it,s not the crazy people you worry about---its the one,s that don,t know it. R.C hi Wow this forum always amazes me. Yes I have ....sort of..... I rub them then sit or lay with them in a crooked position or just together ,you like everybody does ,then they go to sleep and get tingly and most people shake it out then go on. I was just sitting here now and this happened my foot, feet goes way past "asleep" it turns blue and I can,t feel it at all. I did this with my neck in my sleep and had pain for days. I used to rub my hands together for an hour before having a g.m. Rick

Mainly, I'm wondering if the drugs have stopped the myoclonic jerking, but have left me with a new annoyance. I find if I circle them around and around it takes away the jerking which is almost constant when awake. I wonder if it is a way I soothe myself to stop the jerks? Its all in my head anyway...lol Thanks for your responses
