Hi, I am new to epilepsy.com. I have had seizures for about 20 years and I was wondering if anyone has had the ability after having seizures to go scuba diving.

Hey Rebecca, I'm new too, my name is Autumn and I'm from Panguitch Utah. What are your triggers or do you know of any? If salt water or swimming pool water gets to you don't get too much of an intake. It is somewhat bad news I now but don't be too active if it is what can or does cause your seizures. I had one because of swimming in PE class as an eighth grader. I have ahd seizures since I was a small 19 month old baby. so for 18 and 1/2 years. What the pits it really is!!!! My whole life I had to watch what I did so I wouldn't have one so I kinda now what you are going through and probably share the same feelings and experiences as you too. SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE REBECCA!!!!!!!!! I hope this quote has a positive effect on you!!! "Normal is just a setting on the washing machine, and those that have Epilepsy are far from normal!!!!!" I believe that this is totally true too. (; Autumn ;)
