Why? I am 36, still single and maybe be alone the rest of my life. The post read, should I marry a man who has epilepsy. If you people out there still single, I know, it sucks. Me, I am afraid to tell a woman I have the E. Will she be okay I have this brain problem or freak out. AAAAAh! Just would like to have my True Love by my side.

To me anyone with the attitude that epilepsy would prevent them from dating a person is a bigoted dummy. My sister once told me I shouldn't tell a man I was epileptic because not many would "put up" with this. I told her anyone like this would not be right for me!! I met a man 10 years ago and when I told him about my epilepsy he told me his daughter was epileptic too. We talked even more and are now happy together. I have frequent seizures, lose bladder control ect but all my loved ones help.

I too am single.  It is uncomfortable, at best, to disclose the E to someone new, whether it be a new friend or romantic interest.  But, I am more scared that I might have a seizure in front of someone new without my having reassured them in advance that I would be ok. I really wish that I could keep the E private, but it doesn't seem right to do so when a seizure can be so upsetting to those who view it.  And if a new person isn't going to be ok with my medical issues, I'd prefer to know that at the outset.  I have faith that the E is not a barrier to finding your life partner.  Stay optimistic, keep smiling, and have faith.

love yourself, its just seizures, tell your love about it, if they're around you long enough they're gonna find out eventually anyway.
