Question about seizures and driving

Thu, 06/04/2015 - 09:05

Are driving restrictions based on the state you reside in, the state your drivers license is from, the state your car is registered in, or the state where the seizure occured?

Each state has regulations

Each state has regulations regarding the time period a person must go without a seizure before it gets restored. The regulations are within laws written to protect teh people from a driver causing an accident.  The laws are not there to hinder people. Lwas are written to protect people. A person with epilepsy may not like the law but it is written to protect the most people and hinder fewer. I have never had a DL and probably never get one. I can go almost anywhere I need or want to go. It may take more time but I get there and do what needs to be done. I have been doing that for the 50+ years I have been living and dealing with epilepsy.
