Prilosec~cause seizures?
Thu, 01/04/2007 - 11:31None of the literature from the pharmaceutical manufacter says anything about lowering seizure threshold. Yet immediately after ingesting this drug for my acid reflux, I had clusters of simple partial seizures, and perhaps even a complex partial.
Does anyone have any anecdotal evidence of this? or am I simply an anomaly?

Hi Pamela,
I am currently taking Protonix (same as Prilosec, but it's prescription), as my epi recommended. He is very hesitant to increase the chance of seizures at all, so I doubt that he would have done it if there was any risk.

Same thing happened to me... started taking prescription prilosec generic and had seizures
