Partial Complex Seizure question

Thu, 11/03/2016 - 17:42
Hi, Has anyone ever experienced worsening severity of their partial complex seizures? This is embarrassing, but last night for the first time I urinated during my seizure! I really don't remember much of what happened, other than wandering around my house a bit...not sure if this still means is partial complex or if that's a progression to a general seizure. Overall, I feel like my seizures have worsened in intensity over the past year or 2. But this is a first. Would love to hear form others with partial complex :) Thank you!

I see it a lot of times. There are seizures partial, simple partial then complex partial. When they have gone from absence seizures it has already started generalizing. So yes people have lost control of their bladder. Others don't. I have had all kinds of seizures even had grand mal seizures but rarely lost control of my bladder/ It has happened to me.I feel like my seizures have worsened in intensity over the past year or 2. <<< If that has happened you need to discuss this with your neurologist since with time and changes medications can in a way lose their strength. If I ever felt I was having more seizures I called Doc. Adjustments to dosages can be done to resolve the issue. We have also coupled my medication with another which reduced the number of seizures and in some cases shortened the time in them.I hope this helpsJoe

Yup, this has definitely happened to me before. Sometimes they're not bad at all, and then I'll get a terrible one, its frustrating. I've lost bladder control a couple times, too. But definitely talk to your doctor, if you've been on the same drugs for a while (like he said below), maybe thats the cause? I've been on the same ones for almost 12 years now.

I have had epilepsy for about

I have had epilepsy for about 40 years and during that time I have had my meds "tweeked" many times. I get my blood, liver and kidney function tested every six months so we keep on top of my dosage. Have you been getting regular blood work done? If not, do.
