Oxycodone and Epilepsy

Ok so, my fiance has been having grandmal seizures for over a year. Lately they have gotten more frequent, so she has taken oxycodone afterwards to kill the pain of the seizure. My question is, could the oxy be increasing her seizures? Has anyone ever heard of such an interaction? She is also on 400mg lamictal and 100mg of topomax daily. Thank you.

with topamax there's a monitor closely (so yeah, interaction is a possible issue), see http://reference.medscape.com/drug/topamax-trokendi-xr-topiramate-343023#3note that some medications for epilepsy can cause problems for some people (includes seizures) and each person needs those choices tailored to their person so if your gf is only seeing a neurologist, she should be working with an epileptologist to have the best chances of getting her seizures controlled/reduced with the fewest side effects.

Oxycodone HCL tablet - (short break AND correct formula- inactive ingredients seriously Make such a huge difference - the Oxycodone 5,10,30mg Tablet compound does, with me- Brand/manufacture I Only can consume is Alogen Pharm. Since 2012 have been taking. Following a 8 minute cardiac arrest suffered duringba routine surgical out patient - oral extraction. Concealed and social TBI endured - 3 weeks after endured a stoke and my first ever seizures, with severe migraines at age 34. Today age 39. Four kids and Single Mom, too. Other injuries like tension and neuropathy, cervical dystonia and cervical(neck,shoulder doen my spinal nerve injury yet muscle tension from clutching had been the worst. After and this medicine seriously helped my entire life...Saved it honestly. Stopped my seizures until under distress like Hurricane Irma incident being my 1st seizure(s) in over 6 month...major ones especially. Migraines and neurological experience/treatment plans vary to each person. Diet, environment, lifestyle choices and sadly stressors daily or enough rest. Adernals and metabolism are honestly yet another. I cannot take tripitons, due to my stroke situation. Then, HCL formula to the filler/ brand within Any med can hit home hard if not correct dose, or inactive mixture of gluten or other negative compounds - So, Yes....not all FDA chosen brands 'we'd the equal..such a damn lie..lol. or - these can help immensely depending on an individuals life entirety - as mine. I've tried so much including Botox injections to reduce triggers and seizures which it had but other related incidents hadn't helped rather to cause more issues. So...I swear by this preventive form...extended release though are not short acting and different anagelics fillers. Can harm also. The after anguish pain to the physical body...tremors ..tightening and clutch-up muscle issues is where this does relax functions yet helps control how badly that after muscle tension can be, as does drinking more hydrating fluids following certain seizure....my vagus nerve/throat / uvula- section swells badly and TMJ increases to place pressure to my jaw, triennial nuerglia ect. So...The HCL form for your beloved could cause slight rebound head pains if not consistently adaptive to her body and following seizures most rest or fatigue kicks in. Lower dose she may want to accept or break that tablet a part in a half piece instead and tapering off if using often then not until only her incident happens when she consumes. Does help. Sounds like her after anguish or head pains is a symptom of the after post seizure itself also. I've had those more often than not. Even with or without taking my medicine. Not eating or bad diet - sugars had or low electrolytes can directly cause what she is enduring although cannot fully know to accurately express without her healthcare dx and past situation, yet am not requesting her HIPAA protected out of office visit either. Hope she feels better.
