Overall Health Decline Since Siezures

Sat, 11/28/2015 - 01:49

Physically I was in great shape my entire life. Flat stomach, marathon runner, could dunk a basketball with ease, ate good ect. From age 32-33 I barely remember. I started having seizures and panick attacks. I started taking seizure and anxiety medications. The meds stopped the Siezures and panic attacks but......I lost all interest in working out. I ate whatever I wanted. For some reason I just didn't care. Now I'm 38. I have gained 50 lbs, my back Hurts soooooo bad, I have a big gut, love handles, causal male XL is my new store, my knees hurt, my ankles hurt, and I feel like I'm having a heart attack most days. I though I was dying today putting up xmas lights. Has anyone else just fell apart after epilepsy?

Well I had been having

Well I had been having seizures for about 20 years when I was 32. As for health I was fine. My weight was where I wanted it. I ran arround. as for exercise? I didn't I got a workout at work walking from building to building and yes managed the wearhouse too. It wasn't until I was laid off that my weight went nuts.A little pot belly and about 20 lbs too much does nake it harder.  You might want to look at the weather since humidity does make it harder to breath. When younger people could beat me in races especially dashes. Give me a long race and I could wax mst of them.It does take controlling what you do which means getting off your butt and walking or going to the gym. I know it wasn't easy for me either but it does help. I started walking more because we live near a lake which does have many different birds and some of the people arround us didn't know they would ever see the birds in Dallas. We have a clubhouse that has free gym that we can used and it hass all kinds of equipment. If the weather is bad all I have to do is walk over to the office and get upstairs where they have equipment.Once you have leased with them they give you a card that will let you into certain areas of the office. Down staors the yhave computers which can be used if yours crashes. Just get up and take a few steps at a time. Before long those first few steps can turn out to be miles. If I miss the buss I can get there in 15 minutes walking
