hi dessi, The chance of epilepsy 'dsappearing' is limited to several types of childhood E whch are known to be outgrown. For the most part, epilepsy is like diabetes, in that it will require contstant treatment for the rest of your life. What to do is to get yourself to a specialist immediately, get tested, and get on some AEDs (anti-epileptic drugs). What NOT to do is drive.. not until you are firmly controlled and can be sure you will cause no harm to others. ~sol

thank you! and i forgot to mention that i don't lose concisouness during my siezures, and that i think it is temporal lobe epilepsy where i don't do any lip-smakcing or jerking movements, at least i dont think so..does this change anything?

I have lived with temporal

I have lived with temporal lobe E all my life. Sorry, but the type of E you have changes nothing regarding the need to control the seizures. If you don't lose consciousness you have simple 'partial' seizures: http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/seizure_simplepartial.html However, in some (not all) cases, partial E can be eradicated by surgery. Today such is common and people whose partial E is uncontrolled by meds are often tested for possible surgery after trying just a few drugs. http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/surgery.html Please, (for the sake of yourself and your loved ones) get to a physician and have yourself tested asap. And yes, I'll look forward to hearing from you re: the testing also. Best wishes ~sol
