A computer wizard I ain't. It's not for lack of trying either. I AM a smart person. I've been tested, they told me so and a bunch of other stuff, not ALL bad now, but oh well. But computers? I'm glad we have them though I beggted my family to let me get a word processor instead but ok let's discuss this name "blog". Who IN the heck invented that? It sounds to me like a medical term I'd have on a nursing test way back when. VIRUS? BUGS? "STICKY keys". Being on a computer is like going through nursing school again and I done that once and didn't think it was so swift. Anyway, I dutifully printed all this out, and it disappeared. So here's the rest. I got a cheapy new keyboard with an attached mouse. The problem is my pointer is white, which is has always been, and unless I have it on the skin, which is forest green, I can't see the dang thing. It leaves the screen completely and I know that never happened. In fact it's on this document right now and I have NO idea where. When it goes on a document it turns into a nearly invisible "I". I think my others did too except for that invisible part. I'd like to change it's color. I thought that could be done but under Control Panel and that thingy that lets you set your skin and screen saver there is a page for pointers and assorted things and it does not give me a choice of colors yet I'm sure I've seen that. Do either of you know where that is or could help me? I spend eons of time just trying to find my stupid pointer. OR anyone else who really knows where it is and that jungle scene has a red pointer but forget that. It's a wriggling snake that doesn't really point and I can barely stand the sound after awhile. I KNOW I can turn the sound off but then I might MISS something. That's my second choice though. The snake is red. I'd appreciate any suggestion you have, direction you point me in but pul-lease don't say - you're stuck. Thanks. Gretchen PS do you also know of a way to proof and not make a pazillion typos that you see once your post is up and you couldn't see when you were proofing? I try to type on Word Pad to use their spell check but the operative word here is "try". Ya know? Smoches

Good morning Gretchen, :), I just went through changing my own pointer, so I know what you're talking about. Go into the control panel. You'll see, in one of the many pictures of things to change, a picture of a mouse. Click on that. Then while in there, click on the tab that says "pointers", NOT pointer options. On there, I just now experimented again, you can go through the list of different pointers mentioned and try them out. For the skin that you have on your screen, I would suggest one of the larger pointers. :) I know I would have a hard time seening my pointer if my screen skin was green. Good luck! Keri

Oh golly Keri! What a diff

Oh golly Keri! What a diff a larger mouse pointer makes! "Mouse" huh? Wonder why I didn't look there. Or, more, no surprise I didn't look there. I still wish I had color but if it works? Don't fix it. Uhhhh... so what about the typos? Juz askin' - lol. Danka. Gretchen _____________________________________________________________________ I've found if I walk through my fears?
