Does the ACA really have

Does the ACA really have health care in it> Or is it a way for people to get insurance? Why does the government tell doctors they have to ask certain questions at every visit I go to? I want my doctor to treat me and do not want the government telling me what I have to have in my plans or what my doctor has to do and ask. The ACA is losing money and I sure didn't like losing my job. plan and if I had gone to the exchanges my doctors. Yes it has helped many get insurance. But it has also made many people lose the insurance they liked. The ACA was written by the Democratic Senate with insurance companys helping them. A bailout was written within the ACA to cover their loss. Until it was found and a rider was written in a bill Obama wanted. The funding mechanisms were written to start on certain dates. Obama wrote EO's to keep that from happening. So right now there is no funding mechanism. 750 billion dollars was taken from medicare and medicare advantage to cover the first 3 years while everything was to be implimented. So we have had thousands of IRS agents setting on their butts doing nothing because the taxes and requirments have not been started. What needs to happen is both sides of the isle need to get together along with insurance companies and DOCTORS to figure out ways to get coverage and care rather then just coverage. The ACA was basically a way to get coverage and things added to all plans so the government would cover maturnity care and many other things. Do men need maturnity care?? I do not like a single payer plan because the government does not need to know what I want and how my doctors are treating me and the medications I am taking. Repealing it would cause many problems. Carriers have told them that. Replacing it is difficult because of all the thousands of regulations written within th ACA. In order to fix many parts of it they need to repeal and replace at the same time. Most of the things in the ACA were written in the House and sent to the Senate. Individual bills written and passed by both parties. So bring thos bills back and start with them. Remember Nancy saying we have to pass it before we read it? She was actually telling the truth. The bills passed in the house did not have insurance companies writting it. Those bills if passed would have worked and kept the government out of the healrh care business. The single pater plans used in Europe were started after WWII because most of Europe had most cities in rubble. In order to get everybody well the government created those plans. Oh and the size of their government is deffinately bigger and costs the people.

that's funny Joe! Unless

that's funny Joe! Unless there's an alternative to human gestation then everyone alive has benefited from pregnancy which always has higher risk than not being pregnant (and since humans do not have asexual reproduction, there's usually a man involved).  But seriously, maternity coverage is not a big driver of costs yet taking it away would increase costs to consumers substantially possibly increasing abortion rates as that is the fiscally responsible alternative for those without means which is pretty rich coming from the party of 'family values'. Similarly it is strange for fiscal conservatives to remove PPA from allowed providers causing costs to increase to Medicaid for births by millions which will continue to be covered there (haven't seen costs or info on deaths from cancers they would have found although we know from Pence's state that taking away testing for illnesses from STDs or drug users, increases transmission considerably). I think we actually agree that these acts are focused more on insurance end, I think people need coverage and implementing that thru insurance is complex.I don't actually know which questions the federal government mandates. States and insurance have lots of requirements so getting rid of ACA is not going to fix those problems. I think the electronic health records are a good idea gone fairly wrong in implementation. All problems I didn't experience in a country with single payor so there are better or worse ways to accomplish good objectives.

I may be called old school. I

I may be called old school. I have always been a conservative. Hey tell me why women can't buy their own contraceptives.. I know they cost. But they did back in the 60's too and yes she bought hers and usd them. If a young lady can't afford then there are places she can go to get them. Including the schools. I think we actually agree that these acts are focused more on insurance end, I think people need coverage and implementing that thru insurance is complex.  Yes we do agree. When creating the ACA the bills passed in the HOUSE could have gotten people in pools and they could afford insurance. One reason is because one bill had buying insurance across state lines. Another had tort reforms. After the individual bills have been sent to the Senate that were placed on a desk and nothing happen to almost all of them. The democratic senate took one of them and erased everything on it except the number. They went behind closed doors and had insurance companies come in and help write the frigging bill. Now put tp onus on the insurance companies since they also wrote a bailout in the case that they lost money. That bailout was found a few years ago. Until it was found the companies were making money. A rider was added to a bill Obama wanted which stopped the bail out. Since that happened you see more carriers dropping out and fewer plans offered. Oh and I do know about not keeping my plan. I also know why. All insurance plans HAD TO HAVE CERTAIN things added to them which is also why the premiums have gone up some. It requires doctors to ask certain questions. It requires the doctors to do certain things at all visits.I burned my had kind of bad. I went in and doc checked it out and I went back the next week and the week after that. It took Doc 10 minutes to go over what the government required him to go over. Which means that 15 minute visit allowed Doc and I to go over my burn for 5 minutes to cover the real thing I had the appointment. My BMI has nothing to do with my burned hand. The blisters were going down and Another appointment was a month later. the same thing happened at that visit.. Meaning each visit is timed and certain things MUST be gone over even if it was gone over last week or yesterday. Does that sound like real health care??? Those things are written within Obamacare. Another thing that needs to be addressed is its funding mechanisms. The mandates fines or penalties (taxes). The mandates were the funding mechanisms and Obama wrote EO's to stop them from starting. I hate to tell you this but the first 3 years funding was 350 billion dollars which was taken from medicare and medicare advantage. At that time I was working for Humana on their medicare advantage program. My job was cut because the states I was covering were being combined with another office because they would not be offering some plans.. This is the 7th year. the mandates are not working so what have been funding Obamacare for the last 4 years??? Now tell me if I should want the government to manage a single payer plan for out healthcare when Obamacare does little real health care. It may have insurance but real health care it does not have. Reforms need to be done in Medicaid and states can handle it without the government telling them what to do. States know more about what their people need and want then people in Washington. Tort reforms need to be reformed and that can save money tooOh and can you please tell me why a person that was healthy and has a blow to his head causing a concussion which left blood on the brain which caused a scar is a preexisting illness.  You see that is what cause mu epilepsy. It is causing many peoples epilepsy. If a parson is healthy before having a car accident gets epilepsy was a accident pre existing? As for single payer plans. Please tell me one agency or department that is run like it was supposed to. Look at the VA Hospitals. Are they really working like they should be. It is single payer and the work is done by the government. Does Medicaid have problems. I know well about medicare. We keep hearing in advertisements that medicare covers 80% of the costs. Well I have bills that I have to pay and my medicare covered less then 18%. Getting back to the health care we used to have will probably never happen. It was the best in the world. If it wasn't why did so many people come here to get their procedures and care done..
