Not having full seizures?

Thu, 05/18/2017 - 20:37
Hi, I'm Caleigh, and I'm 19. My epilepsy has been pretty well controlled for the past 3 years, with the exceptional 2 or 3 breakthroughs; I have complex partial seizures. At my university, it is exam season and I have been extremely stressed, and I've been having what I can only explain as a seizure aura without the seizure. I zone out, smell things, and my feet start to get numb, which all happen when I'm about to get a seizure in the past, but the seizure doesn't come. Should I see a doctor about this? Has this happened to anyone else before?

Hi Caleigh,as a general rule and precaution, you should always speak with your doctor whenever you have any changes in your seizure activity or characteristics.

Call your doctor and discuss

Call your doctor and discuss this issue with them. You could be having simple partial seizures or just partial seizures. This issue can be done in a call and dosage change with a visit being done a month or two later to verify if the adjustment is working.
