Noise Sensitive?

Thu, 06/29/2006 - 22:25
Hi, I'm new here and all. :) I'm VERY noise sensitive before a seizure (complex partial and petite mal) and it's very hard on my ears. My MIL has dementia and she lives with us but MAN is she loud. She slams doors and talks incessantly due to dementia chatter. Her own kids can't deal with her so I help take care of her. I listen to headphones when I'm cooking so she can keep talking and I won't have to listen to her. (Her voice is really high.) I have 33 decibel earplugs also but I still hear alot of noise. I love white noise from a fan, it helps cut the static I hear alot. Anyone have any suggestions (other than a nursing home for MIL lol) for me getting less hearing sensitive? Anyone have the same thing? Thanks! KatBird

sorry, I am accused most of the time of not listening, so I certainly am not having the same issues.
