New symptoms?
Sun, 05/03/2015 - 02:12Hi! I've had grand mal seizures since i was 7, but i wasn't diagnosed until 2011. I'm on lamictal and pretty well managed. Lately, i've had new symptoms that i'm kind of concerned about. Sometimes right when i wake up my head is very heavy and i'm dizzy. It passes after a minute and then i'm fine. But randomly throughout the day i'm getting this intense pressure that feels like it's in the center of my brain. It feels like someones squeezing my brain. it only lasts about 5 seconds.
I'm making an appointment with my neurologist this week, but i'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I don't know if its a new type of seizure, if they're auras or if its unrelated.

They could be auras or another type of seizure. An aura is basically a seizure itself. If you see the neurologist next week as you posted do tell him about these episodes
