New scent

Sat, 05/05/2007 - 20:28
I started off years ago smelling ammonia, then it changed to marijuana, then to, dead mouse. As of last month I am now smelling gasoline. Has any one else had their olefactory stuff change over time? or does the aura always stay the same?

I smell different things from like horrible stagnent smell, to a burning cooking, to fish, to stale alchohol. So it makes it difficult to know whether I am really smelling something or not. Its usually because I will say what is that smell and those around me will say we cant smell it Bex, then I know!

I used to just think I was plain crazy till I found this site and had my 2 t/c seizures. I smell all kinds of crazy things that no one else can smell. Just last weekend we were all in the van going to my sister's house and I could smell lighter fluid very strong, windows were open so I asked my hubby if he could smell it, as usual he says no. None of my 5 daughters smelled it either, to me it smelled like someone had spilled lighter fluid in my van. I get alot of burning smells, and alot of dead animal smells. We live in the country now so half the time I don't know if it is actually a dead mouse somewhere or not LOL!! At least I know that the burning smell is not a neighbor anymore!!

Yes, but it always involves burning. Burning popcorn, pizza, usually foods like that, foods I don't eat. Afterwards, when I'm feeling safe sometimes I go out into the hall to see if there really was a smell but I'm usually wrong.
