I have read a few of the threads. I gotta say you guys are a hoot! I have basically seizure free for 4 years (meaning I only had a couple) With no meds. about a month or so ago they came back with a vengence. At first my doctor put me on Tegrtol which made me not sleep at all and made the seizures worse. than he put me on Depekote ER 500mg 3 times a day. I have been in the hospital 3 times in a month and a half. My question is what did I do wrong to make them come back? At this rate I am in danger of loosing my job. :(

I am sorry to hear that. Was there anything different that you did right before they started again? My understanding is they can start again with no obvious reason. Maybe woke up on the seriously wrong side of the bed. What kind of job do you do? Are there some safety options you can request? If they are threatening to fire you contact the Epilepsy Foundation and see if they have suggestions to fight it. Tyhere may be state laws that would make it very difficult for them to fire you and then there is the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are union it is pretty sure the boss would be breaking some part of the contract in some way.

About the only thing I did different is turn 40 :) I work in the freight industry which is high stress. I did start working large amount of hours. For the past 9 months I have been working 12 - 14 hour days. I also had two sons get married a month apart. Full weddings. So I guess the only thing different has been alot of stress lately but most of that is over now. I am in front of a computer most of the day. Thanks for your thoughts. It's nice to know your not going through this alone.
