Hi I've got plenty to ask but don't know where to start. I've been living with epilepsy for more than 30 yrs. Even the doctor told me nothing else could be done except surgery (with money that I don't have) and I think my episode last less than a minute an am aware of my surroundings. It happens often in a day and almost everyday. HELP! I hope to relate to anyone as it's my first time joining a forum after living with it for so long

Please speak to your neurologist about various drugs to help you, just like u would for any other condition such as diabetes. If your brain is not 'working'it needs help. There are many drugs for all types of illnesses like seizures and your neurologist will know what is best for yours. Mine are not fully controlled either and I have a history of dailies .but I would never not take the meds I know are staving off much worse seizures. I know they are helping and would not hesitate to try more for better control. Keep a positive attitude and don't worry about side effects-the good will out weigh the bad of not having them to help.
