New to epilepsy

I am a 51 year old woman who has a 13 year old son and a stressful job. About 6 years ago I had my first fit though at the time the neurologist didn't call it such. But I came to on a hospital bed about two hours after I'd collapsed. The last thing I remember was leaving a meeting as that day was uncountable hot. Two weeks ago and similar thing happened. This time my son was there areand that I was staring ahead before keeling over. This time I was unaware for about an hour. After various tests nothing was clear but because my father had epilepsy as a child I've been diagnosed as such. My doctor has decided I need to take 1000 mg of keppra for life. After reading other people's advice I feel very anxious. Can anyone help me i
