Okay, so for about 5 years now I've been having these weird deja by experiences that's are really strong. It's like I'm having a dream while awake. Afterwards I don't remember what it was about but I gag after they are over. I am aware while it is happeneing. I can continues to do what I'm doing while it happened. I don't lose consciousness. Before they happen I get really nervous and scared. It's no longer than about 20 seconds. I never had any kind of seizures before I had my daughter five years ago. They just started about a week after I had her. Never had any head trauma growing up or anything. I do suffer from anxiety. They only happen when I'm in the shower and washing my hair. I can sometimes think about them and they happen. I'm wanting to know am I having seizures or has this got to do with my anxiety? I've had an eeg done and it was normal. What could be the cause? They scare me really bad. And I just want to feel normal again. Somebody please enlighten me.

Hi from Calgary, Canada. I also have the Deja vu aura followed by a seizure similar to yours. My seizures are always sleep related. If I don't sleep well I'm at a great risk or right after a nap. I do not have anxiety. I have been taking notes about my seizures for seven years during which time I had seven seizures. They have been as far apart as two and a half years and as close as two in a month. In the last 20 years (I've had it for 40 years, since I was 14) I've only had one minor seizure at work. They are almost always at home late in the evening. Never in the shower. I refer to my condition as "epilepsy light". I'm very fortunate and thankful that it's a minor case.
