neurologist in massachusetts

I am considering a move to Dartmouth, MA to attend grad school. One of the things that concerns me though is finding a good neurologist up there. I was wondering if anyone from that area could help me out. I have a very good neuro here who specializes in epilepsy so that is what I'd like to find if possible. Also I was wondering about driving. What are the rules when it comes to driving with a seizure disorder? I don't want to lose my license. Here in AR you have to be seizure free for a year, but the doctors are not required to report epilepsy patients. My seizures are very well controlled with medication and I've never had convulsions or lost conciousness. I have simple partial and complex partial seizures with an altered conciousness. Also if anyone could give me some info on what its like living in the area I would greatly appreciate it. I've lived in AR most of my life so it will be a big change for me.

Peaches, Last year I went to

Peaches, Last year I went to grad school in Boston and loved it there. I also visited New Haven CT, which I also loved. I have never been to Dartmouth. While I was in Boston I started having seizures and went to the emergency room at Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital. I was very sick. I was in the hospital four days, and made a number of follow up visits over several months. I also got a reference for the doctor I am seeing now in MD. They have a comprehensive epilepsy center, and I am sure that you could find a good doctor there. I am 32 and have had epilepsy since I was 9, however last spring was the first time I ever saw an epileptologist or had such comprehensive and responsive care. I would recommend the institution highly. You can get to Boston from Dartmouth via commuter rail at Providence RI, or Staughton MA. Beth Israel is easily accessible from the "T", the subway, which connects to commuter rail. You may want to get a bus or free shuttle (Longwood Medical Ctr.), but it is not too far to walk. There may be a good hospital or epilepsy center in Providence, so you might check this out. The MA driving laws are on the Epilepsy Foundation Website at: http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/living/wellness/transportation/drivinglaws.cfm

Thank you so much for replying. I'm a little nervous about moving so far away especially with having to find a new doctor. I got offered admission to a school here in AR but they didn't offer me an assistantship like Dartmouth has. The only thing really hampering my decision was finding a new doctor. The neuro I have here is wonderful and if I stay here I will actually be moving closer to him. I am just worried about finding a job, getting insurance and then getting my medicine.
