Need an EEG, but hard to find Medicaid acceptance!

Fri, 03/10/2017 - 11:32
I've been having pretty severe problems w/ my epilepsy lately & when I tried to make an appointment w/ my neurologist for an EEG, I found he no longer accepts Keystone 1st. I thought, oh, crap! Just when I'm having several seizures within weeks of each other (usually they're only once every few months), I'm hearing things, I've had a string of horrible headaches, my memory's even worse than usual, & I've been very lethargic....I searched online for people who'd accept my insurance in my area, but kept getting turned down. Finally, I found one & - despite my urgency - the soonest appointment I could get was for May 31st! I consider myself lucky that (since that bout of seizures) I haven't had another one, but the other symptoms are still around.
