My life with epilepsy

Mon, 04/13/2015 - 10:54

I am posting this discussion because I wish to share something I wrote this weekend with everyone. It was very hard for me to write about, and left me emotionally exhausted. It is my story. My life with epilepsy. I built a website over the weekend to not only share my story, but to find the assistance I need to start my own business, which is the only way I can see to have a future that allows me to support my son and live the life I have always wanted, but so far could never have. I hesitate to share this with the world, because I have already experienced much discrimination and stigma because of my disorder, and I am very nervous about looking like someone just out to get a free ride. This is absolutely not my intention. I want to raise enough money to start a business of my own, and use all the skills in my possession to get off of disability, off of state assistance, and never have to ask for anything again. I also hope that sharing my story will give others in my situation hope and understanding. Please visit my new site, if you would like to hear my personal struggle with epilepsy, and please leave comments here if you wish to discuss any details with me. Thank you for taking the time to hear me out. http://katesdomain.weebly.com/about.html

You have a very good story of the things you went thru. For many people it is not easy. For others it will never be easy. I do know it is hard to find jobs and support yourself.
